  2. Hello.

I would consider it a privilege if you would add my blog “The Tygrrrr Express” http://www.blacktygrrrr.wordpress.com to your list of linked sites if you feel the quality of it is high.

    Happy June.

  4. Thank you for the info you left in my blog.
You know about “Court rules US can’t detain enemy combatants without charges”
You said that that only applies to enemy combatants detained on American soil. You mean that that rule does not apply on the alleged “enemy combatants” captured in other countries and transferred to America or other American gulags?

  5. TotalT,

I don’t think they can… They had spoken to the producer of the show and he is going to continue showing it.

  6. That is correct Ahmed. It does not apply to foreign enemy combatants.

  7. Ahmed,
If the US military considered the detainees at Gitmo to be ‘enemy combatants,’ then they would be obligated by the Geneva Convention as well as other international treaties to try them or return them eventually. The problem is, these prisoners were what we call ‘unlawful combatants’ per the US Military’s Law of Armed Conflict. This being the case, they are protected by no international laws and can be held at Gitmo for as long as the military wishes.
Information in US military law can be found here:
